This subject is dedicated to the students who wish to join the new railway engineering industry in Ethiopia and specialize as a rolling stock engineer in order to help for faster adaptation of the technology in the country. The trends and perspectives of the modern rail vehicle in the world and high-speed railway transport theories and design standard procedures will be instructed in this subject. There is a student project in the frame of this course and it is done by a group or single student depending on the number of students in a class. The received knowledge is really useful for these post graduate students who would like to make design according to a standard procedure and maintain any modern locomotive and rail vehicle.
